ABOUT

The Toro Tour was launched in 2020 following the widespread cancellation of golf tournaments across Europe due to the COVID-19 lockdowns, particularly in Andalusia, Southern Spain. With competitive opportunities disappearing overnight, many aspiring amateur golfers - especially those working toward scholarship - lost critical chances to improve their World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR). Climbing the WAGR is a key step in securing places at top universities and advancing athletic careers.
Thanks to the Costa del Sol’s mild, temperate winters, local golf courses remain in tournament-ready condition year-round, making the region an ideal base for winter competition.

The Toro Tour hosts fully sanctioned events that are recognized by both the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) and the European Golf Rankings (EGR). Entry fees help cover green fees, amateur prizes, and professional prize funds.
Led by a team with European Tour experience, the Toro Tour is committed to providing high-quality, affordable tournaments - designed to support the next generation of golfers while maintaining professional standards throughout the winter season in Europe.
